I'll stamp all over 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.
Former twice world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As both boxers met for the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly happening.
