Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Manama, as the country executed operations throughout the Middle East in response for a significant and ongoing assault against it by the United States and Israeli forces.

Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an zone in the area of the main base of the American Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The scope of any damage is unclear and the US has not commented.

Regional Interceptions

In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait - all home to US military bases - said they have shot down missiles in their territorial skies.

In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence stated it had successfully engaged a number of projectiles seemingly aimed at the al-Udeid air base, the largest American base in the Middle East.

Operation "Truthful Promise 4"

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement it was attacking American facilities and interests as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the attack on Iran initiated by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday morning.

That preceding assault - executed at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far focused on locations associated with the Tehran's leadership, with President Trump calling on the people of Iran to revolt against the regime.

In the State of Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israeli military reported it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.

The defence ministry of the UAE announced that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"Emirati air defenses dealt with the missiles with great effectiveness and destroyed a several projectiles," the statement continued.

It said debris landed in a residential area in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some property damage and killing a civilian.

The US Air Force operates from the Al Dhafra base, to the south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
